On Books…

I enjoy James Herriot books because I always wanted to be a Veterinarian.  As I got older I found the idea was better than putting it in practice.  The pay isn't all that and it's physically and emotionally draining at times.  I have to admire anyone who goes into it as a profession because it takes a lot of dedication and motivation.

I'm reading several books.  I'm reading a 2 in 1 James Herriot book with All Creatures Great and Small and All Things Bright and Beautiful.  Just finished the 'All Creatures' part.  They are great books if you enjoy reading about being a Veterinarian and their interaction with the animals and clients.  Also reading Return of the King from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Very good!  It's too bad the movies had to be so short!  'Lot of good stuff didn't make it to film.  Also working on the Chronicles of Narnia.  It's good stuff, but harder to follow I think because in every book it's different characters and story.  I found that when I finished one story I felt as though I was done!

Comment on Harry Potter?

I was disappointed in the end.  I didn't like how it was rushed at the end with the big battle and then Harry kills Valdamort and then 20 years later...I felt like I missed so much!  She could have moved on to graduation or clean up or something!  Just didn't seem as well planned out as it could have been.
