What was the best thing about living in the Bottoms? It gives perspective on life.  You learn to appreciate the things in life that others take for granted such as not having to worry about someone breaking in and killing you in the night.  The little things! 

I have a lot of stories.  As I got older and learned to drive I would take people on tours of all the horrible things that happened around the Bottoms.  Places people got killed, horrible fires, or some other event be it good or bad.

I would never live there again.  I drive through sometimes just to see what’s going on.  It's all changed so much in the past few years.  The old school I lived across from is being fixed up and they have the whole area around it fenced off and knocked down lots of houses around it.  I guess they will make it all school ground or something.  I don't know exactly.  It's good to see progress but its also like losing pieces of who I am.
