Do you have any funny
or interesting stories to share regarding the show?
Lots of interesting stories…..for example, 7 of us
made a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina in February
to buy exquisite fabrics at a regional fabric
market. Two of my designers are male, including one
who is a competitive gymnast who hopes to make the
Olympic trials this summer.

Every single one of
my 40 designers this year has an interesting story,
too. One is graduating early to move back to the
East Coast to support her mother after her father
passed away, three of them lost their grandmothers
to breast cancer, one designer had her mother come
to campus from Boston to talk about her experiences
as a breast cancer survivor and she modeled her
daughter’s dress in the show, another is putting
herself through her degree after returning to school
from the medical field, and so on.
They all have tremendous talent and creativity! It
is my deep privilege and pleasure to teach them. |
