I have had a life long fascination with these tall and beautiful creatures and figured if I could be painted as anything, why not my favorite African beauty? I think giraffe are the most beautiful creatures in the bush- and under rated as a safari favorite and under researched. There are actually more than 5 different species but they are often grouped into the same species. I've seen them up close in their native habitat and it was amazing. They float through the air and are the most graceful of all of the animals. They have the most beautiful long eye lashes, the sweetest smelling acacia breath (I've kissed one!) and the most gorgeous coloring and intriguing patterns. It was a natural choice for me. |
