The Festival Goals are as
follows:
Provide a forum to highlight queer burlesque performance of all
styles.
Provide an environment for queer
burlesque performers to network with other queers and allies, and
nurture a sense of community among us.
Provide an economically
accessible space to ensure the participation of limited income queer
burlesque performers which may include scholarship opportunities.
Offer burlesque technique
workshops, panels and skill sharing, though instruction may also
include classes on identity, activism, health and sustainability, as
a way of strengthening individuals’ skills and the queer burlesque
community.
Donate funds to one local and one
national queer-focused organization, non-profit, or arts endeavor. |
