THE INTELLECTUAL VOID/SPRING 2001                                                                                                  ISSUE 2

UNEXPECTED TRIVIA!

Trudging along in search of good artwork to use with "THE PRISON,"  I came across this clipart.  The shackles, the solemn face, it was perfect...and I didn't even notice until I placed it where I wanted it to go...

Those eyes, that mouth, the thin frame, the stance was all too familiar...it is the great Bowie himself.

Below is a photo from his performance in The Elephant Man on Broadway in 1980.  It is not the exact pose but you get the idea.

I wonder how many others have noticed Bowie in the painting above.  It was taken from WITCHES AND WIZARDS CLIPART, by SimplyMedia TM.

The photo to the right was found at www.up-to-date.com/bowie where there are lots more Elephant Man photos to look at...and what is even more amazing is there is also an Andy Warhol section about his death.  Check it out!!
