T-Shirts

Paul’s head, signature, photography, or art, can be purchased on a T-Shirt.  I just love his head and trademark eyeglasses!  Scroll down his t-shirt site for entire selection.

Inventions

Soon, Paul was too big for just candles, art, and T-shirts.  He started inventing!  He and 2 other childhood pals created a company called Renetto and created the infamous Canopy Chair and also designed the Kelsyus Portable Hammock.  They hint of other inventions on their website – I cannot wait to see what is next.  The Renetto Website is absolutely brilliant too; the catchy tune just makes me giggle.

You Tube

And then Renetto came to You Tube.  He created vlog-characters; he did a stunt with Mentos & Coca Cola.  One site calls him a “You Tube Evangelist.”  Renetto did a 3-part video series asking people to make videos of themselves.  He gave his opinion on how to make You Tube a better place, and then finally he offered to buy 100 webcams – in hopes of attracting better quality vloggers to You Tube.  In one video he mentions “relevant content” as being important, since not all You Tube subscribers have relevant content in their vlogs.  His fame grew.  He was granted “director status” on You Tube so he could create longer videos.  Eventually, he was given his own channel.  As we all know, with fame comes good and bad.  Some viewers took offense to his sense of humor and his “director” status.  Others sent him re-“buttles” (yes that was a bad pun) via vlog.  There are terribly negative comments from some non-fans out there, (and of course he has tons of admirers) but overall, he IS successful.

Renetto was among the nominees for “Best commentary” in the March 2007 You Tube Awards.  He even sings – check out “Tube It” on iLike.com.  Paul – is there anything you CAN’T do?

DMCA

Recently, Renetto has been vlogging about the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and how it impacts the public and other You Tube vloggers.  You can read more about this in the Politics section of this issue of the Voyeur Magazine.  We applaud Renetto’s determination to educate the masses about DMCA!
