I had my own idea of what Pepper would wear. Something out of the Matrix I had hoped. But no, she is way too cool for that. She doesn’t need all of those clothes. A black cami, black briefs with a studded belt, fishnets and high boots. She could have gotten away with less but that would outstrip Groovie Mann who, after the first half, removed his leather vest and licked the spider tattoo on his armpit. I’m not ashamed to say it, Groovie Mann is hot. As I watched the acid trippy images, go-go girls and leather sex (oh yeah) on the TKK square projection screen, I found it funny to think that all this came from Groovie Mann’s and Buzz McCoy’s initial idea of making a ‘B-movie.’ They have become their own ‘B-movie.’ And as I listened to the over powering songs like Sex on Wheelz, Devil Bunnies, Do You Fear for Your Child?, A Daisy Chain 4 Satan, The Days Of Swine & Roses, The Devil Does Drugs, A Girl Doesn't Get Killed By A Make-Believe Lover... Cuz It's Hot!, Burning Dirt, Kooler Than Jesus, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and my favorite, Leather Sex, I decided they were not at all a ‘B-movie.’ They were clean and professional. And even in a small rustic place such as the Ravari Room they were able to have a five star show. The place was stuffed with people and they were all excited. When I bought my ticket I wasn’t sure what to expect but now I can say this was the best show I have ever been to. My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult left me needing more. The music I’ve heard so far was just a tease; I want to devour everything. |
