Underground music is something that is needed. Artists who want complete artistic freedom without the corporate influence or direction can express themselves completely. We live in a time of complete business diversity. Corporations have their preverbal hand in a lot of pots, such as GE who has a stake in an adult entertainment company.  Would we still call a piece “art” when it is governed by a parent company? Do we want companies to guide music in anyway? Why do we live in a society that tells us what is good versus bad?

     I don’t think Darth Vader is bad, more like he is mislead and Luke Skywalker is a bully or a child who does not listen to his parents.

     Music is an expression of beliefs, feelings, or a way to educate the public on issues going on in the world. Bands back in the day would use music to protest against wars, or promote their beliefs (such as bands that are a part of the skin head movement). We as people may or may not like what we hear, however we cannot say it is not music, and we can just choose not to listen to it.
