Around 2006 I promised I would write down all the fashion trends and stylish styles I encounter and share with you my findings.  I have not forgotten about my promise; I never forget when it comes to fashion.  Being a fashion mogul like myself does not happen overnight, it takes time and careful study.  Here I will recommend sites that move me; sites that scream fashion and style for the likes of a gentleman. I hope you will find them of use.

FASHION
MR PORTER

I love the way this site is set up.  It loads fast and takes you right into another page.  Though it contains pages where you can purchase goods it also has articles about fashionable celebrities and their clothing style.  There is a lot of content to go through but if you have an afternoon to browse it might be worth it.  There are lots of little tips and tidbits here and there to read through.  It has an over all feeling of class.  This is definitely a place I go often.

THE URBAN GENTLEMAN

The site looks nice but moves slow when you click on the links.  If you can tolerate the slowness you can find some nice ideas for fashionable outfits for men in the city. I was disappointed that it is a big catalogue.  But it is more than just a suit site; here you will find men in sandals, sockless, and in blue pinstriped white shorts.  Don’t be deceived by how the word “urban” is used in street slang these days, it does not mean hip-hop, it means city. -6/4/2011

DECOR
VOTIVO

Being a gentleman not only means looking nice but it also means your surroundings are nice.  A tidy house and a pleasant scent always make a good impression.  I used to buy these candles in Curio-A-Go-Go on the Short North but the store has since retired and moved on to better things.  My best memory is when you bought something they would spray the tissue paper with Votivo fragrance mist, mmmm.  My favorite scent, Red Currant, still exists and the plain glass jar goes with any décor.
